  • Buyer pays shipping means buyer pays *you* for shipping, then you buy the shipping label. So as for the second half of your question, that sounds like the system working as intended.

  • It’s not, you have your proof. Don’t refund them.
  • I’ll usually give them a polite version of “the tracking shows delivered so you’ll need to contact eBay for a refund , here’s how to raise an item not received claim” . And they can argue it out with eBay when ebay deny the refund.
  • It's not. Don't engage further in messages. Wait for the "item not received" case to arrive. Respond to the case with the tracking number and submit. It will close in your favor.
  • Chill, tracking says delivered. You don't have to refund. If they open a not arrived case. Simply put the tracking again. Ebay will close it in your favor, and that'll be it. There is no need to stress yourself. You'll be fine.
  • As the sender you can I suppose contact your shipping company and ask them to look into it. I've had a tracking parcel get marked delivered but it wasn't delivered to me (as a buyer), but in the end it wasn't the postie's fault... It's possible something happened and your buyer is being genuine. But I think it's time eBay helped you decide what the procedure will be. Technically a parcel marked received or attempted delivery is supposed to be in the seller's favour. It depends on whether or not you want to go the extra mile and check out what actually is happening.

Many sellers not even communicating anymore?

I was wondering if this is common today in international eBay? There are some listings for a certain item I intend to purchase via the .com version but often there is no shipping fee set for my locati...

  • They don't respond because they don't get anything out of it. You're not a customer and they don't want to deal with setting things up for international sales nor do they want to venture into the liabilities of international sales. Not every seller can access EIS either. Find a different seller and move on, or look into freight forwarding services that will send your USA goods to your address in europe.
  • Coming from a Top Rated Seller, I don’t answer because 90% off the time the buyer doesn’t even acknowledge that I did answer. To me it goes both ways, if you’re asking for extra info or pics and don’t even have the courtesy to respond when I answer why should I care to answer.
  • The "contact seller for shipping fees" is eBay being too sketchy to tell you the item can't be shipped to you. And it can't be shipped to you for a reason. Typically, it's an import restriction. Ebay takes those categories of items that you can not receive and removes the eIS. It's a waste of time to message the buyer or for them to reply (though it's nice if they do to tell you). Your problem is either with your import laws or with eBay. The seller can do nothing for you. For the record, it's not just Europe. I know Mexico and Brazil have a ton of restrictions, and most messages I get are from them for what I have listed. Trying to skirt the rule just gets the item sent back if inspected by customs.
  • for me personally, I dont get many messages on my listings so I am not looking out for them and as a seller I get a shit ton of emails from ebay, lol, and sometimes they get lost for a day or 2. If they get unseen longer than that then I usually dont reply because I assumed they have moved on to another listing.
