Is Payments Canada down now?

Payments Canada is a public-purpose, not-for-profit organization responsible for operating and governing Canada’s national payment clearing and settlement infrastructure. Its systems support the secure exchange of billions of dollars between financial institutions, businesses, governments, and consumers every day. Payments Canada operates critical payment systems including Lynx, which handles high-value payments, and the Retail batch payment system, which processes the majority of everyday Canadian payment transactions. The organization also develops the rules, standards, and infrastructure that underpin Canada’s payment ecosystem and works closely with financial institutions, regulators, government, and industry stakeholders. Its mandate includes promoting safe, efficient, and innovative payment systems while supporting the modernization of Canada’s financial infrastructure.
