That would require you to file an LOA with Sedgwick, it’s a whole process where your doctor needs to send paperwork in. And really it’s only meant to be used when an associate is missing at least three consecutive shifts. Missing a day or two here and there is also through Sedgwick but that’d be an intermittent LOA, which is a whole other kind of thing. Searching OneWalmart for Sedgwick or LOA should get you pointed in the right direction.
If you are having issues you would need to seek an accommodation through Sedgwick which will require seeeing a dr. The dr will have to communicate through Sedgwick and will state that it was nessarily for you to miss work. And the problem is continuing one. Unless you missed consecutive days 3 or more there is nothing really to excuse. As you shouldn’t qualify for a leave. As it’s too short of time. Another issue is with how short you have been employed you may not qualify for an accommodation unless your state law allows differently

This sub is mainly for US store associates. Here in the states, the company can’t make you pay out of pocket if a register is short, I can’t imagine it being different in whatever country you’re in but I’m not versed in foreign laws and whatnot. I’d suggest brushing up on local laws for this kind of thing.
Brush up on local laws, practice your technique and always count twice. Also become very very familiar with how numbers fold into each other. (Ex: 5 20s make 100)

You can shop during your 15 and your lunch. That is your time. Outside of that, yes it's against policy to shop during your working hours. It's productivity and you can be held accountable. But again, your 15 and your lunch are YOUR time.
Shopping on your 15 is your business. It's your 15 and if you want a soda or something, that's the time to do it, because doing it outside of your 15, but still on the clock, can lead to trouble. Shopping off the clock is not only normal, it's expected. Our store has tried to avoid situations where there's been confusion by telling associates on their break, lunch, or off the clock to take their vests off (I let mine hang from one shoulder behind my back, looking like a Roman Centurion cape). If the associate wasn't wearing their vest I'd be going up the chain of command, because obviously, this TL didn't learn their lesson Last time they overstepped.
You should tell him to worry about his people that your TL has your department covered.
